Alexis !
ReplyDeleteI did not like it very much. I followed a recipe from the internet and i followed it exactly how it said, but it tasted to salty. It was not nasty but it did not taste like teriyaki and i was looking very forward to it. I should of just used teriyaki sauce already made.
Richard-
ReplyDeleteThis was pretty good but a little salty. I think she should of gotten a different teriyaki sauce recipe. I really liked it also because it was not over cooked or undr cooked. I think she did a great job.
yummm i liked the chicken alot. I've never tasted teriyaki like this but it was really tasty. It was a little salty, but i like salty. =]
ReplyDeleteTo mean this tasted like soy chicken, if you added more soy sauce you would of made a popular dish in Hawaii. it is just soysauce and chicken! Good try on the teriyaki. remember teriyaki is sweet, if you decide to make it again remember to add lots of brown sugar or pineapple or molasses to the ingredients.
ReplyDeleteHERE is the SOY SAUCE chicken I wrote about:
1.
Step 1
Mix together marinade:
In a pot, mix together 2 parts soy sauce to every 1 part of Sake + Mirin. For example 1/2 cup of sake, 1/2 of mirin, 1 cup of soy sauce.
add garlic
add sugar to taste(optional for desired sweetness)
add chopped green onion
Mix marinade thoroughly
2.
Step 2
Add Chicken so marinade covers all of chicken and let sit in room temperature for at least 15-20 minutes.
During this time it is recommend you begin cooking white rice to compliment your meal.
3.
Step 3
When ready set on stove top to medium high and bring chicken to a boil.
Add black pepper as desired and stir around chicken to evenly cook.
Once at a boil lower heat to low to med-low and let chicken stew for 15-20 minutes. (the longer you let it stew the softer and tasteful the chicken becomes)
4.
Step 4
You are now ready to enjoy this Hawaiian favorite. Perfect with a simple side of white rice or a perfect compliment to home made Hawaiian style mac salad and white rice.
